What is the Principality of St. George
The Principality of St. George is a [claimed] sovereign nation (country), which many would refer to as a “micronation” due to it’s small size and limited international recognition, if any. Although founded in 2007, the Principality formally declared independence in 2018.
The country has been recognized and maintains diplomatic relations with various other nations around the world. The following list outlines the current diplomatic relations:
- Empire of Austenasia
- Imvrassia
- Karno-Ruthenian Empire
- Græcia and all other members-states of the League of Hellenistic Micronations [1]
- State of Vishwamitra
The country is governed by a Non-Partisan Constitutional Monarchy, with an emphasis on direct Democracy. The legislative branch consists of the National Council, with 7 voting members, including the Prince, and the People’s Assembly, which consists of the citizens of each district.
Currently, there are 15 citizens and residents, but anyone can apply to become a remote/electronic citizen.
